Vision

For the faculty in department of CIVIL, teaching is more passionate than profession. Our ultimate aim is, not only to create well educated students but also to train them to acquire awareness about the changing world of scenario in the field of CIVIL ENGINEERING.

The department has qualified faculty with varied experience in areas of Structural Engineering, Hydrology & Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Remote Sensing & GIS and Construction Management.

SURVEY LAB

The survey lab is equipped with all the latest survey equipments such as total station, auto level etc, To Conduct survey practical, we have enough area inside our college campus.

SOIL LAB

Soil mechanics laboratory is well equipped with all equipments required for identification and classification of soils. The lab instruments are well seated over concrete beds for better observations of readings.

Strength of Materials Laboratory is well-equipped with all equipments required to identify the properties of materials and its strength by means of Universal testing Machine with shear test attachment, Torsion testing machine, Compression testing machine 500 KN capacity.

HYDRAULICS ENGINEERING LAB

The highway engineering laboratory is equipped with all the latest testing equipments to enable the students to have knowledge in the area of concrete and highway engineering. All the equipments are placed over the rigid concrete structure with enough space between them to ensure the better working of equipments.

CONFERENCES / SYMPOSIUM ORGANISED :

The department conducts a Two day National level conference “Recent Advancement in Technologies (RAT 2013) this years and Conducted a Symposium “AACE 2k12” last year.

RAT-2013

Our College Organised RAT-2013 a National level Conference for two days (15.02.13 & 16.02.13) twenty papers were presented under Civil Engineering. The delegates from various institutions from all over India presented their research work and innovations in various fields of Civil Engineering.

AACE 2K12

The department organized a one day National level Symposium AACE2K12. The delegates from various institutions from all over India presented their research work and innovations in various fields of Civil Engineering. Er. V.Leo Prakash Manager NTPC, Chief guest of the conference.

AACE 2K11

The department organized a one day National level Symposium AACE2K11 on 23.08.2013. Our Beloved Correspondent Mr.R.C. Udayakumar Inaugurated the civil department association AACE and Dr.Dhanalakshmi PhD, delivered the key note address.

• T.Kolanchinathan and V.Kaviyarasan are in college kabbadi team which was eliminated in the semi final in last year district level competition.

• Nagarajan.C and Ramesh.S had won 1st prize in Quiz competition held at MNSK college of engineering on 20/02/2012
• Ashik Varghese, V.Reghupathi, G.Kaliswaran, Nijanthan.R, Kaviyarasan.K had participated and won 1st prize in the best management competition held at KARPAGA VINAYAGA Institute of Mnangement pudukkottai on 18/02/2012.
• Febin Paulose, G.Ganeshkumar, M.Joseph Dixon, A.Aravinthan, V.Regupathi and S.Sethupathi were received certificate for going to III phase of the National level CAD contest conducted in March 2013.

As per the University regulation, the UG students have to submit a project work in the final year. Four students form a group and each group is guided by an internal staff. The students are motivated and stream lined.

Our students completed their project successfully the details of the projects are given below.
