OBJECTIVES

      To build up the best possible theoretical knowledge and practical skills in subject areas and inculcate appropriate moral and ethical values in students through proper instruction and guidance for a career or for higher studies in Mechanical Engineering through a team of caring, dedicated, determined, well trained and qualified teachers. To promote holistic development of students through various physical, mental, social, cultural, personal and spiritual enrichment programmes.

FACULTY

      Currently, there are 16 members of faculty available in the department. All faculty members  have degrees from prestigious institutions across the country and have immense exposure to industry. Our faculty members undergone several training programmes to make the teaching more effective and to keep updated with the latest developments and advances in various areas of mechanical engineering. RAT-2013
Our College Organised RAT-2013 a National level Conference for two days (15.02.13 & 16.02.13) twenty papers were presented under Mechnaicall Engineering. The delegates from various institutions from all over India presented their research work and innovations in various Specialisation of Mechanical Engineering.

SAME’12

The department organized a one day National level Symposium SAME12. The delegates from various institutions from all over India presented their research work and innovations in various specialisation  of Mechanical Engineering.
TUSSLE 2013

     The department organized a one day Project Model Contest for the Polytechnic Students. The delegates from various institutions from all over Tamilnadu presented their project models. It is a project model contest; the students from 16 polytechnic colleges of 477 students attended the function. The chief guest Mr.Ayavoo distributed the prizes for the best and overall performance

INNOVATIVE WORKSHOP

The department organized one week staff development programme on “ CNC TRAINING PROGRAMME ” during June 20 to June 27, 2012.
